THE MARTINI SHOT
PRODUCTION TREATMENT
https://themartinishot.tv
First of all we want to thank you for the opportunity to compete for the realization of such an light and positive story!

In the recent past we had a positive experience of cooperation with NAR Mobile, when we realized a series of beautiful commercials! We will be very happy to continue this positive and productive experience!

In this presentation we are happy to share with you our vision of the logistics of the project and of course the team we plan to involve in the implementation.

Enjoy reading!
We would like to start by saying that we propose to implement this project in Tbilisi, Georgia.

In our opinion, the logistics of implementing the project in Tbilisi looks more rational at the moment for several reasons.

Firstly, it is the weather conditions. Unlike Kyiv, the weather in Tbilisi at this time of year is warmer and there is less chance of snow falling (in the past few years, it wasn't snowing much
in Tbilisi, but in Kyiv in March weather is often snowy, grey and not sunny).
Secondly, as you may have already heard from the media, Ukraine is currently having not very favorable information environment due to the unstable situation with our closest neighbors to the east. In our opinion, this is mostly due to media pressure, because as we live here, we can say that the situation is not as critical as they say it is.

Nevertheless, we believe that our clients will feel more relaxed and comfortable visiting a country with less tense information background, as well as without the risk of airspace closures and flight cancellations.

We can assure you that in terms of quality of service and resources (both creative and technical) both countries where we provide service are in equal conditions and we are ready to guarantee high level of quality both in Ukraine and Georgia.

As part of this logistics, we have counted in the budget the arrival of a team of 10 people from the agency and the client, staying up to 5 days.
Transfer to/from the airport, daily transportation on set and mobile communication with Internet access is included in calculations.
Things like flights, hotel stay, PCR tests aren't included in our budget. If this needs to be done - please let us know.
Online streaming from the set is not taken in a budget also, as we expect that everybody, who will be making decisions on the creative component from the client and the agency, to be on the set with us.
Here you will find a selection of directors' reels.
ALEXEY TARANENKO
Director
Alexey is a director who, in addition to his Walter White appearance, is distinguished from the rest by his extensive experience in film. His debut feature film "I work at the cementary" was shown in many world festivals, including the Warsaw International Festival, which is in the "A" category.
Alexey very skillfully brings elements of film work into commercials and this is his specialty, for which he is loved by many clients.
STAS KAPRALOV
Director
Stas started his career at Channel 34 in the city of Dnipro.
At the age of 23 he came up with the television travel show "Crazy hitchhiking", which was bought by "New Channel" in 2013 and Stanislav signed a contract for a new season.

His first film work was the short film "Sui Caedere" in 2016. In 2017 he worked on the Israeli feature-documentary "Rising in the Ghetto: The Untold Story". In 2018, he directed a short 5-minute performance piece, "I Illusion," genre of which is surrealism and optical illusions.

In 2019, together with a Hollywood film company, he shot his debut feature film "LET IT SNOW" (USA, Ukraine, Spain). In 2020 he began preparations for the shooting of the American-Ukrainian mystical thriller Egregore.
SASHA DEVIATCHENKO SOLDAK
Director
Sasha is a new wave director. Sasha makes a little movie every time in every new project. Long shots, beautiful people - that's what is Sasha's work about. In the commercial market, Sasha is unknown yet. But he moves between Minsk, Moscow and Kyiv and changes this situation.
VICTOR MASLAYEV
Director
Before getting into the director's chair, Vitya worked as a producer and then as an assistant director for a long time. That is why Vitya can be rightfully called one of the most experienced advertising directors in Ukraine.

Among his works there are commercials for world famous brands as Johnson & Johnson, Samsung, Pepsi, Adidas, Nestle, Nike, Coca-Cola etc.

Besides commercials, Vitya also acted as a director of several social commercials, for which he received a silver medal at the Effie Festival and the Kyiv Festival of Social Advertising.
Any of director is ready to promptly prepare a treatment / synopsis after you review the showreels and confirm which director is most suitable to implement the task by opinion of the Agency and the Client.
Given the extended deadline, this step will not cause a shift and we will still have some space to be on time with release of the final video.

We would like to point out right away that once a director has been chosen, the list of DOPs might be changed in consultation with the director.
TEAM
TEAM
Under the responsive guidance of the executive producer Sveta Lyagina or Nikita Kochkarev and one of the in-house line producers from our side, we would like to offer the following team. For a project of this level, we have tried and picked high class professionals, each of whom we have implemented more than a dozen projects of any complexity, both in Ukraine and in Georgia.

As for the 1st AD, we are happy to offer and recommend you such specialists:
Igor Rabchun and Alina Yatsyk.

As always, most of the work falls on the shoulders of the art department.
The head of this department who is ready to go with us - Sergei Daniliuk.

The stylistic challenges on this project are non-trivial, but nevertheless we would like to offer following logistics:
A stylist in Kyiv will prepare moodboards and assemble the looks in consultation with you. After that, these looks will be sent to Tbilisi, where we will do a fitting with the selected actors. In this case, stylist from Kyiv will not fly to Tbilisi, because it is not necessary and local costume designer can easily cope with the tasks of fitting and the looks which our stylist has prepared.

This is due to the fact that under the laws of Georgia things can not be returned and on the budget component it will be more profitable to rent things in Kyiv and then get them back.

Nar store employees' suits we expect to receive from the client. We have not budgeted manufacturing of such costumes.

As for photographer, we would like to offer you Vakhtang Alania, a very well-proven local specialist. We have done a number of projects with him and were more than satisfied with the result, as well as our clients.

We are happy to offer either Yura Reznichenko or Vitya Lisin as editing director.

Note that the final team, will depend on the preference of the selected director and the availability of one or another candidate.
LOGISTIC
LOGISTIC
For this project, we are planning one long shooting day, about 18 hours, on real locations. During this day, we will have time to make several relocations (including build of the set, shooting and a demolition of the set).

THE STREET LOCATION.

In this location we plan to shoot the scenes with the hero leaving the house and his walkthrough. Here we have considered minimal additional decoration of the location and a play phone as a prop.

CINEMA LOCATION

On this location we are planning to implement a scene with a poster of our hero. We plan to integrate the poster at the stage of post production.

Also in this or on previous location, we are going to shoot scenes with traffic of cars, our hero crossing the road and walking along the red carpet. To do so, we'll choose one of the nearby quiet streets, where we can completely block the traffic, simulate the traffic by using our play cars, shoot the scene with the crossing of the street and the walkthrough on the red carpet.

The pedestrian crosswalk that appears, we plan to implement in the post-production phase.

PARK LOCATION.

On this location we will shoot a scene with a close-up of a phone, rain and an umbrella flying in.
We will work out the phone interface in the post-production phase.
We are planning to make the rain simulation there, near this location, in order to optimize the number of relocations. A light drizzle will be made with help of our SFX team.
And the flying umbrella also will be shot here with using rigs, which we will clean up in the future at the stage of post-production.

CAFE LOCATION

In this location we are planning to shoot scenes with the hero and the girl in the cafe, as well as the projection in the air, when the hero activates the package FULL9.
We took into account the minimal additional decoration of the facade of the cafe and its terrace.

LOCATION NAR STORE

In this location we would like to implement all the scenes of the main character's visit to the store and meeting with the store employees, as well as the scene with the pedestal. This is because moving to another location might not fit into our shooting schedule.

For this purpose we are hoping to find a spacious place with the front windows, which we can decorate as exterior and a part of interior for NAR store with help of art department. Part of this location will be separated for a pedestal setting and confetti start.

Below you can see a selection of location references from our base. Please note that these are only references and once the project is confirmed, at the scouting stage, we will be able to check them for availability and compliance with our technical requirements.

ART DEPARTMENT
Considering we have quite a tight timing (which will introduce to you on the following slides) to simplify the work of our art department and optimize the budget will try to choose the location that best suits our needs, where we can fine-tune the look and fill the play props.

СASTING
СASTING
We are going to cast our main and minor characters in Tbilisi. There is no sense to make a casting in Kyiv and bring the selected actors here for several reasons - first of all this will make the budget component heavier, and secondly the Georgian casting is more suitable by type and nationality.

We have a main character, a girl for the supporting role, a group of 4 people as employees in the store and 10 extras as passers-by and visitors of the cafe.

The rights for the main actor were taken into account:
1 year, Azerbaijan TV, Internet, OOH for video
1 year, Azerbaijan, POS, outdoors, digital for photos.
POSTPRODUCTION
POSTPRODUCTION
To optimize time on post production, we will do rough edit on the set. Next day after the shooting we can do a director's cut, presentation, approval of the edit and then send the material to the post production works. Also, we will start preparing the demo itself as soon as the project is confirmed. To do this, we will need to fix the timing of the demo, which we then will not change.

What was taken into account for the post production tasks:

- technical editing block of tasks: converting material, converting previews, preparing material for the post and for color correction;
- compositing tasks on integration of images and footages into the phone (we also took into consideration buying a video footage that will be playing on the hero's phone);
- adding KV to the facade of the building (to succeed at this task it will be important to make this shot so that it does not overlap with other objects and camera movement needs to be discussed on pre-production stage)
- adding and animating bubbles, interfaces, captions, taking into account sent material from the agency;
- small cleanups (without taking into account the restoration of large or detailed objects in the frame)
- creating a crosswalk of the brand color;
- creating a demo part: the complexity of 1 and 2 options for us are identical, so we will just wait for the client's choice of option demo part;
- adding projection in 1 shot (in this case it is important to get vector elements from the agency);
- mastering of 1 video in horizontal format for TV and Digital, timing 45 sec (without short versions);
- we also took into account retouch and color correction of the first selected image from the photoshoot. The final assembly of the layout was not taken into account (captions, desktop publishing and so on).

Please note that it is important to get all the footage and vector materials for the supers, interfaces and the demo parts from the agency.
SOUND DESIGN
SOUND DESIGN
For sound, we suggest working with the following logistics:

We will make a remote voice casting and voice recording by Azerbaijan sound studio PicMus, then we will send recorded voiceover to one of the Kyiv studios, where we will process voiceover, mix it with music and sfx and as a result we will get a ready audio lineup.

To create music, we are planning to engage one of the talented Kyiv composers. Separate music for radio was not considered, we expect that the music in the TV commercial and the radio commercial will be the same.

In Kyiv, we are glad to offer you:
Project Confirmation - 21.02
Preproduction (location scout/props/style references) - 22-26.02
PPM - 27.02
Fitting and recce - 28.02
